Message from the President
Rhonda Bentz
“60 Years of Music!”
Dear Fellow Guild Members,
I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits as we approach the holiday season.
We had such a wonderful time at the General Membership Meeting last Wednesday, November 13, at the home of Don Vaughan. It was an evening to remember! The Symphony Honors Ensemble rocked their movie music selections, and co-chairs Mary Ingram and Vanessa Skenes gave us an exciting preview of what promises to be an unforgettable A Notable Night event.
Speaking of A Notable Night – The Age of Aquarius Gala, we are thrilled to announce that the event is now officially sold out! We are so grateful for the incredible response and support, and we can’t wait to gather with all of you this Friday, November 22, to celebrate the Greensboro Symphony and the vital role it plays in our community. For those who were able to secure tickets, we look forward to a memorable evening full of music, fun, and fellowship.
Looking ahead, don’t forget the beautiful Christmas Concert by the Greensboro Symphony on December 13 at 7:00pm at Westover Church. This free concert is a wonderful way to come together with family and friends to celebrate the season. Be sure to grab your tickets online through the GSO website—I hope to see many of you there! Information and opportunities related to Barbara Cone Award Nominations and our 2024 Presentation Ball will go out next month as well.
As we enter this season of gratitude and giving, I want to take a moment to wish you all a wonderful holiday season. Whether you’re spending time with loved ones, reflecting on the year, or simply taking a moment to unwind, I hope this time brings you happiness and fulfillment.
Wishing each of you a Happy Thanksgiving and a very joyful holiday season.
With gratitude,
2024-2025 President
Greensboro Symphony Guild
Music Matters!
