Ten young women made their debut in the 46th annual Greensboro Symphony Guild Presentation Ball which was held on Thursday, December 28. Families and guests gathered at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons to celebrate with the Debutantes. Honorary Chair Beverly Wright and Chair Vanessa Skenes, along with committee members, planned and attended numerous events over the past year with the Debs and their families, leading up to this special evening. Mistress of Ceremonies Lisa Crawford introduced each Debutante along with her Chief Marshal and Marshal. Next came the traditional figure and special waltz followed by dinner and dancing late into the night with the U.B.U. Band. Special thanks to Laura Kilmartin, Steering Chair, and Elizabeth Heard, President of the Symphony Guild, who along with over 50 volunteers planned the traditional events leading up to the Presentation. Thank you to members of the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Greensboro Symphony Ensemble musicians who provided the orchestral accompaniment to the evening. We were honored to have Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Board Chair Laura Green in attendance as well. It was indeed a magical evening! _____________________________________________________________________________ The Guild’s website is in the process of switching to a new credit card processing vendor.
